The age range of 65+ has increased their viewing from 2012-26 whereas everyone else has decreased viewing because that age group will have more time on their hands to watch different channels to entertain themselves. The increase in technology also allows for the elderly to watch channels on different devices if they go away on holiday since they have disposable income from their pension. The majority of this age range are predominately in a medium to high social class possible C1 and B meaning that they enjoy lots of niche channels being a psychographic of the resigned, whereas a younger audience would prefer the popular ones since they are mainstreamers.
