Ownership: Activision created and published call of duty, they also franchise it. Franchise merch: Action figures, comic books, and card games. Plan B toys works with activision to create figurines. Developers: Infinity Ward, Treyarch, Sledgehammer Games Three because it expands the audience for the games. Marketing strategy: WW11- Focused on billboards rather than popular digital platforms. Once the code was cracked they gained exclusive content that cannot be obtained anywhere else. On their page, there are forums and blogs, all of which helps to increase the community and gaming aspect of Call of Duty. How might convergence effect video game users? Different hardware makes video games accessible on different device, offering new and different ways to play the game, also making it more accessible to certain people.
